Ok I want to make something VERY CLEAR here people. I have a youtube channel that I have made videos on with the deus being faulty and still finding targets. I AM NOT saying that it completely doesn't work. It works. However it falses on everything it touches and it does that when I wiggle the shaft. This has been the issue since day one with the old machine to the new current machine in the last state, different countys to the new machine and in different countys. The reason I said I make youtube videos is for the people who say "i seen this coming" to the people who say "something seems fishy here" I am in no means a deus hater. I love the deus. I woudnt make videos on it and give shout outs to people if I hated the machine. Heres something else that makes sense to me but maybe not all of you. When I received my new deus last week in the box if you think I was in it to get a new machine and sell it well I didn't. In fact I took it out and now its a used machine. It even has dirt on it. who would have thought. SO NO THERE ISNT ANYTHING GOOFY ABOUT ME RANTING WITH TROUBLES. Im just lost as to what the issue is.

Go back and look at the title of this thread you started. You seem to always be going in circles. There are plenty of people here willing to help you if you indeed have a problem. I strongly suggest you post the video. And get your detecting buddy's deus and interchange components. That's very easy. Surely between you and your bud you can figure things put. Once you figure out which unit on your detector is the culprit do a video showing your unit working correct and one with it faulting. Send this to someone at XP. Prearrange this with them. I'm sure they would like to see. When you get your problem resolved tell us what the solution was.

Alright get the video done. Something else too. When you experience a problem in the future with any metal detector, how about a more fair/precise title. Deus issues/More deus issues is plural, not singular. As far as I can tell when reading your past post you have only had 1 issue with Deus. Someone seeing your titles could be led to believe you are experiencing many different problems with your equipment. This is not fair to any equipment no matter the manufacturer or the readers of forums.

No idea then on my part unless according to others you interchange parts with your buddies to see if the problem can finally be isolated. I will say a few last things...............
I assume your buddies works just fine when you use it....correct?
Also, does your detector act crazy when your buddy or anyone else tries to use it?
Reason I ask is to try and narrow down every possibility to include the human element as well.
Now to the Deus being a chatty kathy..............it is that! It picks up everything no matter how minute I have found. I have not been many places it does not chatter almost constant! When you say falsing I assume you mean it gives a great tone and TID numerical but nothing there when you dig?????

Thanks for the reply. Yes my friends works fine. He uses the 9inch coil. He has had his for quite some time. I have not let my friend use my new one. He does hunt with me though and ive taken off my headphones so he can here what im explaining. His does not do what mine does.mtsheron said:
As mentioned earlier electric fences will/can drive a deus nuts. Also when I hunt near another deus even though he is +1 and I'm -1 on the same freq I still get interference from him. He doesn't get it from me. I guess its a crap shoot . Hope you get it figured out, a good running deus is tough to beat
He my take on a electric fence I was hunting in the middle of a 600 acre field I was running a minelab gtx 4800 the thing was going nuts I for the life could not understand what was going on for two days I made a call to take to some one with more times on the 4800 then I had the first thing he said is there a electric close to you I said yep it goes around this 600 ac

Could you put your settings right here on this post please, this is the very basis but it could help me to understand a little bit more your issue.
The Deus is chatty, sometimes very chatty, it doesn't bother me but it could be annoying to people which are not used to with this MD.

i know you said that you haven't wanted to go through testing all your parts on your buddies machine but it would only take a half an hour or so and then you would know something for sure. it is easier and faster then sending the machine back or selling it. i would swap out each component one at a time and see it you get it to repeat or not. Keep us posted if you do this. Good Luck.
I guess you would know if you are hunting a area surrounded by electric fence and/or underground fencing. So that is a wash I would say. I don't recall seeing this but do you live and hunt near those unsightly high tension tower wires??? Those send off some crazy EMI sometimes. Just a thought but I would assume if you did that would have been one of the first things you tried to eliminate.
Like beau stated I find the Deus in any program unless you just dial up the disc to eliminate most everything to be rather chatty and sounds at times to me like a geiger. But to me that is just how sensitive this machine is to me and picks up like I stated the smallest minute particles there are. That said one machine may be hypersensitive than others but you have had two new coils and a new machine if I remember right and unless the last machines made have been altered by Alain and his crew to be ultra sensitive that would be a bust as well.
Have you tried disc(ing) the unit all the way up to like 95 just as a check feature and running across the same ground to see if all chat is ceased? Then backing it down a notch each time to see if that works and where the chatter picks back up as a test as well. Just another thought I had. That way anything below 95 TID values would be silent and then put like a US quarter on the ground to get a hit to confirm it is working.
I am just trying to brain storm all avenues to see if you can get to the issue to let Alain know at XP. Something is not right and I believe you are having the issue you say. I have never doubted it........just giving suggestions to isolate whatever could be the issue electronically.
