good chance ill sell my deus

I'm by no means an Ace on the Deus, but you say you run...

" basic 1, gm power and deus fast is all I have used. I even tried relic mode once and same outcome.
I have tried turning down sens, gb traking, gb pumping which says ok, gb manual, lowered gb by a few points. I have ran it with silencer down and reactivity down, I have tried as much as I can. Who knows. :)

To help with falseing I've used,
Lowering sensitivity
Raising silencer
lowering reactivity and slowing swing
manual GB or pumping and raising a few points
ground notching 82 to 95
changing frequencies

All of these settings adjustments I would try one at a time and then start over and add them together one at a time to see if any combination would help.

Good luck with this issue hope it works out for you.
The Deus is a great machine and I wouldn't be without it.

mtsheron. Luckily for me I am hunting deep in woods not near power lines in those nice union camps. I do however hunt construction zones sometimes. But that usually is only a sunday when no trucks or tractors are around. So I eliminated the chance of all the walkie talkie signals ec etc. I truly do not think its a emi issue. Heres why, It does it no matter where I am. Its just a sound that goes bap, bap, bap, bap really fast when I wiggle the coil. If I barely touch the coil to anything it does it, if I hunt in corn fields and touch a stock it does it. Its truly sensitive.
I know the deus is not a quite machine. Especially in gm power silencer -1 sens 85-90 its crazy talking. Im totally ok with the chatter. I also hunt alone sometimes and it does it with no other detector around. The only way I can get this to not make the noise im describing is to go into GB tracking than expert and hit the plus button till I notch out to 85. than it will stop. I just discovered that recently. How deos this affect the machine. I have no idea. But it seems "and I could be wrong" that it makes it way more chatty though.
Thank you for trying to help me and understanding the craziness im going through :) Im sure in the long run itll be worked out whatever this issue is :)

Thank you all findsmall folks who are trying to give suggestions and help.

Check the Video at about the 2:08

Is that similar to what you mean?

You know there is a simple way to find the problem that has been mentioned several times you seem to be avoiding. If your buddy has a Deus that works fine then take ten minutes and bind your module to his coil. If it still acts up it is in your module. If it doesn't, bind his module to your coil. If it acts up it is your coil. Pretty simple to find the answer if that is what you're looking for.

B I N G O !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is exactly what im having a problem with. exactly! But why my last unit, and now this unit which is a replacement does this and my friends doesn't do this?

Plus if this is a common thing why with all the explaining ive done about wiggling the coil has nobody known to say what they do or what this guy does? Is it only a few XP's that have this issue? Because again my friend that I hunt with does not have this problem

Well at least people have an idea now. So will yours stop when you try fixing it like he did on the video? Has your friends been updated to the newest version?

I mentioned ground notch to you in the beginning of these posts and you came back asking if it was ground notch, which I affirmed.

Did you try it on the first detector? AND now the second one?

This video does not show any "issue with the Deus" it is showing what happens if your adjust it for increased sensitivity in GB and not notch the GB properly.. Your buddies, or any Deus, would do the same thing with the same settings. I run mine in tracking to avoid such noise. You do give up some depth but much better stability.

This video does not show any "issue with the Deus" it is showing what happens if your adjust it incorrectly. You buddies, or any Deus, would do the same thing with the same settings.

Just go back and look how many times people made the suggestion you had it set incorrectly and being so sensitive what it can do.
let me point out a few things:
1. I NEVER adjusted my deus incorrectly. I said if you read through the posts again that this happens in the stock programs from the second I turn it on. This happened in TN and now in VA with the last deus I had and now this deus. Before I touch GB or sens it already has this wiggle issue. Also please explain how to adjust a deus incorrectly? Also you said my buddies would do the same thing. well it doesn't. We both turn on and go. He DOES NOT have the issue I do
2.I have gone back. I understand how a sens feature works. Up until recently I wasn't going into gb and setting the numbers down a few points. Not knowing this trick I was assuming something was wrong. Let me also point out as ive said before Moe and Michael never suggested that I go adjust my sensitivity when I explained my best to them many of times the issue I was having. Its easy to say "turn your sens down" and I did. I even said I did. Just turning sensitivity down does not change the fact the wiggle bap, bap, bap sound was still there and very sensitive to the touch of anything.

This one I did. Works great :)

Incorrectly may not have been the best choice of describing the Deus not adjusted as it should have been. I do apologize.

OK again I say a real simple way to find an issue if it exist. Get with your buddy and spend 10 minutes and find out if you still think it is your Deus that has a problem.

Gotcha. Ill just continue to go into GB and than expert and go down a few notches. But why my last one and now this one? One the one in the video but my friend doesn't?
also woody at detector that's a dealer doesn't have this issue or heath at treasure Mountain. It seems like its just a few? :)

Perhaps you've got an extra sensitive one? I'd be happy having an extra sensitive one as long as I could notch out the problem.

Usually you will have several folks with same issue. Some figure it out and fail to inform others while others get so discouraged they either sell the thing before inquiring or closet it and forget! So you may just very well have a sensitive machine more so than others like I eluded to earlier. I guess this could happen. It would seem though if two Deus' were side by side in same program they would for the most part behave the same. But then again in life I have found out one thing..................you never know what can happen!

So now you have a somewhat idea you can still do the swap out with the friends to see if you can isolate the control unit or the coil for sure.

I never asked nor looked if it was stated...............you both have the same size coil I assume????
