Good day all, new Fisher user

I tried out an F 22 yesterday on a lawn in Oneonta, NY that was loaded with coal, coke, and iron. It seemed like someone emptied their fire pit or coal stove out in the yard but I found a dozen wheaties, 2 silver dimes, 2 buttons and some old toys. In between the iron chatter I could sift through and find the good tones. I sure am impressed. I hunted mostly with a whites classic SL and a DFX in the past and was used to slow sweeping trashy sites for targets but ran into trouble on lawns with the same type of debris. Is this great ability to cut through the old coal debris and trash the norm with Fishers and if so is the F70 or patriot ALOT better than the F22? I must say being a Whites and Troy Shadow guy, I sure was impressed by the Fisher F22.

Personally, I would have to look hard at the F 22 or the F 44. You already know it works well in your ground. I use a F 75, but have heard good things about the F 22/44. One consideration might be the frequency of the Patriot. If it is the same as the F 70, it will be 13 kz and the F 22 and F 44 are 7.6 I believe. Those little lower frequency units really love silver and coins in general. Good luck! HH jim tn

Thanks a bunch Jim. I'm going to use the F22 for a bit and then get the next step up or a few steps up. I don't have the cash yet but will see if someone wants to trade for some antiques.
