Good day at the winter 1861 camp

I went out this morning to the winter camp that's been my main hub the last three years. It was nice to see some brass relics pop out today. This place typically doesn't give up much brass (mostly lead).

The last picture is today's kepi bugle next to the business end of a real bugle I found on the same spot last fall.

Got a kepi letter "C" today about four feet from where I found the kepi bugle insignia a couple days ago- possibly off the same hat?

the kepi bugle was about 7-8 inches, most of the other finds were less than 5, and the kepi letter C was only about an inch
