Good Day for the Platypus Coil

jb

New member
Finally got out today and worked the new Explorer II along with the new Platypus Coil. Followed along more or less behind my hunting partner with his stock coil on the XS and did fairly well. No silver but managed 3 real nice military buttons and an old 1876 Indian Head Cent along with a few wheat's. Best part of it is with the X-I Probe I didn't bugger anything up and found them all in the hole before taking out the final digger full of dirt. I'll post the pictures a little later on tonite. I doubt if I go back to the stock coil anytime soon. Talk about better depth I'm impressed with this coil.

Dang It All, went to take pictures and either the battery's went belly up or the camera, took it off the dock and put the battery's in another charger and will try that. Hopefull thats the problem and will be up and running tomorrow if it is the battery's, there 3 good years old.

I think you may be onto something jb........... :) I'm ordering my Platypus tomorrow. Not trying to keep up with the Joneses, but Lee is just kicking my rear!! I'll let you know how the coil works for me. HH.
