Good deeds rewarded at the saddle club

I recently got permission to hunt at my local saddle club. Decided to divide my time equally between pulling out dangerous-to-hooves trash from the arena and hunting the bleachers. I had four hours to hunt, so the first two were spent in the soft dirt of the arena with the Cibola on AM. Found several vicious-looking iron nails, fence staples and pieces of wire. Felt good to take these out and potentially save some poor equine a lot of pain and suffering. Got some bottle caps, clad and a weird piece of copper too.

My efforts in the arena were rewarded with some fun around the bleachers. Turning up the disc to just under 5c, I quickly had several more clad, a small silver "2nd place" pin and a 1925 S wheatie.

I only covered about 20% of the arena and maybe 10% of the rest of the property, so I'll be back!

Way to Go!!! In this hobby we always need to be looking for ways to help people see the good. The recent TV shows have not helped the hobby and individuals who get into it thinking it is a quick way to get rich will enventually ruin it for those who just get into it for fun. I hope that the networks get discouraged after a while if ratings drop and those who get into it for the wrong reasons get discouraged as well, because they end up finding only a little bit of pocket change and a litttle silver and maybe some gold, if they are lucky. Congrats on the 1925 S wheatie as well. HH

You're a good man who just earned himself some good karma.

This hobby can use more people like you. :clapping:
