Thought I would share with my CMD family. About two weeks ago I was heading over to meet with Maliquin (Brian) to go detecting when I came to a stop sign. Then when I turned onto the next road I seen a cell phone on the side of the road. I stopped and got it, and it was still alive. I waited till it was after 8 am and called the last number. When I told the guy what I found he said (Man you saved my life) Long story short, later that day I returned his cell phone. He was very happy!
Now earlier this week while Shawano and I was water detecting I seen a paddle boat floating across the lake. it drifted right near me so I walked out and grabbed it. There had been a storm the night before and I am sure it just broke loose from a dock. I pushed it a shore hoping someone would come along in the next few hours. A little while later some folks came down to swim, and not much time went by before they started eye balling this boat. I heard the guy say there is no name on it. A little later he tipped it up to dump some water out, so I hollered over and said ( hey don't steal my boat ) By the way they were talking they were planning just that. he said ( Oh I'm just dumping the water out ) I was hoping they would leave before me but they didn't. I wanted it to get back to the owners. So as I left I towed it behind me over to where Shawano was. There were three young guys (20's) about 40 yard away getting ready to go wake boarding again. i hollered over and they waited so I walked over and asked if they lived on the lake. They did. I told them the situation. They said they would tow it to their dock and tie it so that when the owners went around the lake they could find it. It felt good to help others out!
The interesting thing is both of these happened wile heading to go detecting or while I was detecting. One while with a member of this forum, and the other while heading over to a forum members house to go diggin!
God is good! All the time!
