Minelab Warranty: Transferable from July 1st, 2011

Minelab, an ISO9001 quality accredited company, currently provides a comprehensive three-year warranty for the majority of our products*. In an ongoing effort to improve our services to our valued customers, this warranty will now be transferable for new products purchased from July 1st, 2011 going forward. This means that any remaining warranty period from a product can be transferred to a legitimate subsequent owner within the original country of purchase. For complete details on our warranty, please refer to our full Limited Product Warranty Conditions www.minelab.com/warranty-registration/limited-product-warranty-conditions.
If you have purchased or have a Customer that has purchased a second-hand Minelab detector they are encouraged to register the detector

Not to complain, but IMO, this can only be good, Minelab could use more QC and standards. Did anyone else notice that the holes on the shafts are drilled wrong and the control box vs the head are crooked, and not all are even offset by the same, my family has 4 of them, some are different. Who knows, they may buy these by the thousands from a second source, but they should be straight. My brothers unit showed up with missing parts, my uncle's showed up with missing parts, mine showed up with parts with pieces missing, they give you a wood or sheet metal screw to fasten the controls to the pole when it should be machine or a self tapping screw. Again, don't take this wrong and I love my Xterra, I just think that the QC is lacking.

Some of the compeditors have lifetime warranties, this is a step in the right direction. Quite honestly, the 1 year warranty concerned me when I was shopping for a new detector only because my last was lifetime. A friend has yet another brand and it has been back to the factory 4 times.... at his expense! Again, don't get me wrong, these are solid units, I hope to get years of use and mounds of coins using it.

Again, like Dave Madden says (local sports commentator) I aint hate'n, I'm just sayin'...
