remember I told you I was trying to go back to school this fall? I have been on a waiting list for Surgical tech class starting in Sept, and I just got a call and I am accepted!

I start schooling Sept 8th.........I am going to need lots of prayer!!!

The gov't is paying 100% of all fees, books tuition and will continue to pay my unemployment weekly check the whole time I am in school. It is a program called TRA, Trade readjustment assistance. It is for people who lost their job due to jobs being sent over seas.

I am pretty nervous I have been out of school since 1991, so it is going to be a real challenge for me, going need a lot of prayers :clapping:

That is great Terry! Prayers on the way!

Praise to the Lord, Terry. We have been praying for you and will continue to do so as you start school. God will be there with you all the way. You can do it!:clapping:

been out of school for 18 years, gonna need all the prayers I can get to keep with all those young kids lol

Congrats! I found going to school again to be much harder for me, because of not remembering like I did when going to school in my childhood days! Prayers for you that all will work out in the long run! God Bless! Betty

Hey! That's great!!! I'm really happy for you Terry!!!! Not sure what all types of classes you will be required to take for this degree, other than the obvious medical type classes, but if you have to take some of those money getter, filler classes, and any of them happen to be some type of history, political science, geography, etc., etc............. REMEMER - I am a social studies teacher and will more than willing to help you out, any way I can. Just ask. :)

You will do good. You figured out how to pinpoint with the 250 and then explained to me in a way that made it very simple. I'm sure you will do good back at school. Thanks again for the help. You will be in my prayers.
God bless,
Robert

:thumbup:Congradulations Terry!

For what it's worth, I didn't attend college or university until I was 44 years old and, if I can do it, you can do it! Actually I worked full time and went to school full time too and, on the side, went to Stephens Ministry classes one night a week. There's little point in placing my gpa here for the world to see. Let's just say I was on the dean's list for the duration and I'm just an average guy. The difference between myself and many of the 'Kids' attending,. at the time, was that I 'Wanted' to be there and there- fore did well. It's funny! When I began, most of the new students thought I was the professor. That was a scream? You're fortunate in that your tuition is payed for and you therefore don't have 'How Am I Going To Pay The Bill' on your mind. Unfortunately my tuition came out of my own pocket. Keep the faith, believe that you can, and you will make it.

Thank you Lisa, all courses are all medical. The courser is a concentrated 11 mont class, 9 hours a day. 3 days a week in class, and 2 days a week in clinicals. If for some reason something comes up I will be sure to ask you for help!
