Good variety...

An opportunity opened up yesterday and I gave it a go. As I started digging in this 1920's-1040's neighborhood I was thinking that there's not much use listening for Indian Cents since they were only made until 1909. Then a few minutes into the digging the 1847 Large Cent comes out of the ground. What a surprise!!! So now I'm digging every signal except iron. Even got an indian. All this, plus lots of clad and a dozen or so wheaties made a good day for me!!!

What a nice variety indeed Neal.:clapping: I sure envy you guys who can get out, but your posts and others might help get me back out there sooner. Great stuff once again Neal and best of luck on your next variety outing. HH.

WOW Neal!!!!! That is a great variety !!! Great job on some awesome finds my friend!

I have dug several buttons like the one you have posted over the past several years. Do you know, or someone else, is this some kind button for a music/band uniform?...

Indian cents circulated through the 40s. I have even found them in pocket spills with 50s wheats. If I was hunting a 20-40s era neighborhood, I'd definitely be keeping my ears open for indians. The other thing that comes in that range are tokens - plenty of those to be found in that era as well. As your large cent attests, you just never know.

You did very well on your outing. Congrats on some great Coins! Can't but jump for joy:jump: finding a Large Cent in an area where you didn't even think an Injun would surface. Congrats on the Barber Quarter and the Token. What is the 1909 Coin??? Good Luck and HH on your next outing.:detecting:

Damn! Nice coins!
