Goodbye gay coil cover!

Got tired of taking off the coil cover and cleaning to prevent falsing, so I made some changes. I used some truck bedliner spray to coat the bottom of the coil. The stuff should be tough!

Hope there's no metal particles in the formula. I really hope it works !! You should know that this will most likely void the warranty on the coil, that is if the stuff doesn't come off.

Actually, I cannot take credit for this idea. Saw it on another Minelab forum on findmall. I thought about the paint metal content too, so I sprayed some on a piece of plastic and air tested it. All good to go, except the warranty deal. Guess ya gotta make some trade-offs sometime.

After several successful md'n expeditions, the bed-liner spray on the coil has remained unscathed. I kind of suspected that though.

Wow used my safari for year and half no real issues with the coil. How low to the ground you swinging that thing that it get's scuffed up bad enough to need bedliner scuff protection.

Seems a good idea except for the warranty void..

I had falsing issues with mine from dirt as well.... pain in the butt. I keep my coil as close to the ground as possible... the extra 2-3 inches means everything if you want deep targets.
