Got a chance to buy an older Explorer

Bugar In. USA

Active member
Havn't seen it yet , spose to be real fine cond,at a price of $350, can this be a deal or ???????
Tnx, Bugar

The person is probably as P_____D as I am at the display. I wonder if Minelab thinks that only 20 year olds buy their units.I was out today and it went from bright sunny to clouds passing overhead. Had to switch from Polaroids to regular glasses constantly and finally said screw it and quit. You would think on a 1300.00 machine they could come up with a decent screen. I like the machine but I am getting ready to dump it for something I can see .02 Now I feel better!!

Sure it can be a good deal as long as the person selling it is trustworthy

erikk, I also am not a *spring chicken*, and my eyes are not as trustworthy as they used to be. Have you tried adjusting the contrast to darker for those sunny occasion's:blush:? Sometimes here in sunny Florida I have to turn around and put my back to the sun in order to see the screen. But as far as I am concerned, the machine performs so well that it would be irreplaceable:cool: happy Hunting Grounds,

Savage.

Don't know him, cause repairs can get in the pocket real quick, tnx,, my glasses are the transitions, would that help ??:detecting::usmc::usaflag:

Savage thats where I am-sunny FL. I have messed with the contrast but no matter what I do it's really tough. Usually I have to hold it up and find some shade or get direct sun on the screen. It's just a PITA. If I didn't like it so much it would have been around a tree long ago. I have a DFX & Fisher cz7a pro & Excalibur but none go as deep as the EX2 with the WOT. Just wish I could See the screen...

n/t

Nicely put gobble-gobble:wave: Krusty, and Sunzabeach have the same issues concerning the bright sun and not being able to read their displays. BUT LOVE THE PERFORMANCE. Happy Hunting Grounds,

Savage.

erikk, I know what you mean. Krusty is the youngest of us that hunt together, 46 :goodnight: and complains about the display in sunlight. By the way erikk, what depth does the WOT allow you to penetrate compared to the stock 10 1/2" coil:shrug: Happy Hunting Grounds,

Savage.

The deepest I have found so far was DFX and never heard it. I know I went over it because it was by a big oak with one limb almost touching the ground and I always check big trees very carefully. Also found several clad quarters that the DFX missed same place. Got a merc at about 9 that was under a nail and a beavertail. Really like the WOT as I can cover a lot of ground. I created a program to just read 1$ 1/2 1/4 dimes, V nickles and a couple of gold rings. That way I don't have to see much-just listen and dig

It's hard to see even turned up to max. But I dig any good solid repeatable signal, on land or beach wet sand. I use the sun ray 12 1/2mostly, & the excel. 18". Don't use the stock 10 1/2"much anymore, it's heavy I'am oldddddd 61 but in good health tk. God. Still working & love to hunt, when mother say's it's ok. just kidding.Good hunting talk to you all soon.

[attachment 42025 minelablogo.JPG]Seems he unloads equipment that needs repair or don'r work quite rite, soo I gonna pass on that deal.
Hey u guys=most of you know i"m stained glass artist, here's one o my pieces,:detecting::minelab::usmc::usaflag:

Thanks gobble gobble:super:for the info. I use the sunray 8" more than the stock coil to compensate for the weight. I also have a keen ear for GOOD targets vice bad ones by sound. I also have a 18" excel and plan to use it on my next relic hunt:csflag:. What kind of depth can I expect with it? Happy Hunting Grounds,

Savage.
