Got a few hits today.....and 1 keeper

Hey Everyone,

Got out to the beach for a 3hr. spin, picked coins for the first couple of hours then I hit the gold ring. I was in and out of the water all morning because the sand that was washed off the beach was piled up pretty good in the water. The ring is marked with a hammer and sickle inside of a 5 pointed star with .583 next to that. The only other hallmark is a .03K.
Thanks for looking,
Glenn

Glenn, is that 1280X loot? Man, if so you are getting some nice pickin's mate! I would have argued that you read it wrong and guessed 585, but it sho nuff says 583, but I still think that's close enough to call it 14K though! WTG! What does that fine unit weigh, anyway? Looks heavy!

Well, GulfHunter & Treasuredigger, .583 IS 14K gold. In the US, they use 14K, but in Europe, they use .583. You can do the math yourself by dividing 14K by 24K & you will get .583.

Do the same for your 18K, 10K, & the UK also use 9K, I have also found 22K, but that is rare.
