Went for a two hour hunt and came home with some keepers. 9 wheats, a 1923 buffalo nickel, a Good for 5 cents token, and a super nice 1868 indian Head.
Grading it here it should be worth over $100.00!!!!!! YEEE HAAA!!!! I will have the coin guy look at it soon! Very sharp detail. I figure it is between VF-20 and EF-40. Need to clean a little more dirt out of the nooks and crannies, but she is sweet! It looks better than the pics!

Congrats on the nice IH and other finds! :clapping: God Bless! Betty

Awesome finds Mike!!! A $100 penny???

Great finds buddy!!

Hey Mike. Looks like you do have an extra-fine coin there. If they don't grade it high, I would get a second grade from somewhere. Sorry I missed your short hunt contest. We have been busy all this week getting ready for the pageant at church. I will try and make the next one.

That was is eye popping find!! I found a newer IH penny than that in about 1976 with a Compass Judge I Automatic TR. Boy is that an old one! Is an old IH penny from 1868 worth more than a newer one closer to around 1900 ?? (From what to what years were they minted?

What MD and coil did you use to find it with? Thanks!

1859 - 1909 they were made. Different years they made less of are worth more.
Good to see ya, God bless.

Mike
