Got a meal ?

Now that winter is upon us. This means that we are well on our way into the heart o' the eating season :wiggle:
We all have that one insignificant simple dish that at jist the right time on a cold day is the best we could ask for.
Our personal ' comfort food' if you will.
The key word here..'simple'.
Mine couldn't be easier. I call it simply...... slop.
I take a pound o' ground meat, your choice which kind, and i brown it up in a
sauce pot. At the same time i prepare a sack o' noodles, again, your choice which kind.
After the meat is done brownin i make gravey right there in the same pot WITH the water from the noodles.
Usualy gotta add a bit o' bullion.
I then stir in the noodles and there ya have it.
Salt and pepper to taste and rip a hank o' fresh italian bread off the loaf to dip into it whilst ya eat it.
Jist about $4 for this meal and it lasts about 3 days with the two of us.

Soo,,what's yer cheap and simple winter concoction of that one 'comfort' food ?

( sorry Lorraine, i know oyu have got to have thousands to choose from.I know i for one would be mighty "comfortable" jist sititn all winter on the couch eatin everything you cook. Don't mean to put ya on the spot :) )
