Got talked into it, sure sounds like a dandy, and looks like a toughie, I do hate those flimsy/tacky outfits :detecting:
as i do USE WHAT I GOT:usmc:

Mine came in the mail today. Hope it stops raining so I can give it a spin tonight. :detecting:

Hey bud let us know what you think of it. You could run over this thing with a truck and not hurt it. Think you're going to like it.

Used my Propointer last night. Got to say it is a great little item. It just feels so good in your hand, size weigth and balance are perfect. I had been using the $18 Harbor Freight PP, which worked well for the money, but it was just so bulky. I love the increasing vibration when you get closer to the target. It is a well designed and engineered product.

Is this the one you have? http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=97245 I thought about buying it,since I'm new to this area of detecting.I used to survey land and I was used to locating land marks, bench marks, and property pins.We used a scaled up version of a PP called a saun-o-stat.Not the correct spelling but that's how it's pronounced.

Yup that was the one I had, worked great for $18 bucks. But it was bulky, had to retune it all the time, and not sure how sturdy it is, my guess was made in China and won't last over a year. But it gets the job done for a pinpointer.

Thanks for the feed back.I am considering it for my winter hunting. Then pick up a quality unit net year for the return of warmer weather.

I heard it was taking a long time to get them online through Harbor Freight, you might want to check to see if you can find a Harbor Freight store in your area. Shame I just sold mine on another MD board for $10 + shipping.

I got 3 with in 30 minutes of me.Soon as our gas shortage is over,I give them a try.A lot of places in my area are temporarily closing because we can't get gas in our area.

Yeah it fits the hand nicely and the drop-in holster is real handy. Got those boxy, bulky, pointers beat hands down. That increase in intensity comes in handy when finding a target in the side of a hole - as I described in my test.

What a bummer. We're starting to get recharging stations here for electric cars. Got several already. My van will run on flex fuel ( methane ) but no stations for it here.

I'm already planning on that new Garrett PP.Wounder how many people will call the cops thinking I have a pistol on my side.

I live in the southeast. We are to slow and resistant to change to accept alternative fuels, well, besides moon shine. I am a little ahead of the curve by even considering an electric car in the near future. One day my children will be grown and I will have the money to rescue myself from here.

Lord I haven't sipped any shine in 137 years. Had a couple of buddies many years ago that were former "Ridge Runners." What they couldn't do with a car hadn't been invented yet.
