Scared my wife and I to death. My daughter is down from Kansas with the g'baby. For some reason bad thoughts come in to your head at those times of mornings. The next thing we hear is my daughter crying like crazy. Now the worst is really hitting home. After calming her down come to find out the son-in-law got his orders that he will be home June 15th direct from Baghdad to Ft.Riley Kansas. Praise GOD !! We have been waiting to hear good news. I could not go back to sleep for an hour to get my heart rate back to normal.
He also gets his promotion before he leaves and will get the higher re-up bonuses. Our GOD is an AWESOME GOD is he not !!
Continue to keep our troops in your prayers please. It is getting bad over there again and under alot of pressure. They are working long hours and are very tired. Most are up for 4-5 days straight.

having had 2 sons who called me in the wee hours makes me know a bit of how ya felt. Too bad we can't get calls from someone that time of night to say we won the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes or something eh?
Where is Ed McMan (?) when ya need a good phone call.
Glad to here the good news. How joyous is the gifts and wonders on our heavenly Father. Praise God.
Hope your ticker has slowed to normal by this time DD.

Will be keepin him on the short list! What's his first name? so I can raise him up in Church. I know about those early calls, when our son was in Afghanistan, he was 8 1/2 hrs ahead of us. He usually got to call about o'dark thirty our time Ryan will be coming home on the 11th for 10days leave. He's already told us their next deployment is to Iraq in 06' if needed. Hopefully, he'll be in Warrant school by then. When ya speak to him again, tell him THANKS and get home soon and hug his wife and baby!

Thanks for "personalizing" I know when I do that it makes me feel like I know them and makes it a closer part of what I am doing (if that makes sense) This young man is one of the "RARE" ones for sure. A joy to call my son in law.

It is good to know that. Everyone here has always been good to lift up my requests that I have offered.I feel guilty sometime when I do ask because I do not post much. I do watch and read it allot though.
This young man is a special breed. Manners galore and very polite. Always "Yes sir" & "Yes mame" He grew up in my neighborhood playing games in our yard. He did not have much, mother divorced, with no dad at home, had to woek to help mom makes ends meet.Kind of took him under our wings. Feels like he is really a son instead of in-law.
In the dictionary beside the word "LOVE" their two names and lives would be added and if anyone is as deserving it is those two kids. They have been apart more than they have been together. This is not his first years of sevice. He spent 4 years in the USMC, overseas before they were married in 2003. GOD has grown a special love in them for sure.
Thanks for letting me ramble on and GOD BLESS each one of you
