while hunting i get a signal of 36 to 40 on the machine i swing it a coupla times over the signal then it nulls out is this normal ive had it at the beach and it will go deep for a coin . thanks

Check Rick(ND)'s last post. Gave me a good tip concerning this issue. Also when this happens you might check the target in the all metal mode to make sure you don't have some iron trying to mask the target. Hope this helps. I just got my Quattro so I have a bunch to learn. Good luck.

The Quattro is an ultra-slow sweep unit. You have to wait for that accompanying threshold to be maintained along with sweeping the loop. The software also takes time to reset.
