Almost didn't hit the woods this morning. Have been thinking about hitting another spot for a while, but did make the decision last week to continue with the woods for the rest of Feb. Kind of glad I did. Terry and I had worked a stretch last Sat morning and this morning I went across the road from that stretch and worked my way well off the road. For a while all I was digging was trash and upon digging a 60 or so reading un-covered the ornate, but junk I think, ring. Anyway, about two hours into the hunt I got a whopping high tone, high reading, intermingled with the occasional mid tone. Dug it, and out popped the 40s s Walking Liberty half along with a square tab. The tab is a few inches above the half in the dirt. The 2nd picture is the path I had been on when I hit the half. A little while later I dug the 1903 IH cent and the junker flower pin. F 75 LTD. HH jim tn

Amazing! Great! Outstanding! Adjective! Yeah, Jimmy, you should just keep on hunting that woods while its nice and cool...soon enough, it will be overgrown and full of bugs and all. What a great year you've had in there..halfs up the wazoo! You go back and get that gold coin and call it a day.
