Got an F19 coming

Want to go head to head with the new LTD2. Stand by.

Just remember the F19 is an overpriced $800 machine and the f75 is $1100. Being that said, i believe the F19 is a good machine. Having not ever used a F75 I don't know how they will compare. You can have all the air tests you want, proof is in what they find. I'm looking forward to what you find. Just for giggles I am planning on comparing the F19 to a Whites M6 and a Tesoro Tejon.

Sounds like too much fun for one day, Barry.

I liked the M6 as long as I locked the ground balance in place for good performance in my ground. Never could run it at high gain levels due to EMI and my ground shut it down with the concentric coil but it was still a nice machine. I think you will find the F19 a much more stable unit but the VCO audio of the F19 isn't going to sound like the car horn audio of the M6. But looking forward to reading your experiences.

Folks that can drive a Tejon well have my respect. That is one detector I just never got the hang of even after trying three of them. I wonder how close the F19's digital iron discrimination range compares to the Tejon's analog range? This would be an interesting comparison as both of these are promoted as relic units.

Geo,
Do you think they'll compliment each other, or compete with each other?

I picked the f19, m6 and tejon for a couple reasons. The tejon has a reputation as a deep relic machine, the F19 is supposed to be. The M6 is a killer coin machine and the F19 isn't too shabby. They are all on basic the same price tier. But most importantly, i own all three and know the basics of running them.

Since all my tests are live digs on hard hit sites we will see. I know I will not compare boost process, that would be unfair so I will compare Fast on both, use default on F75. I only hunt relics on ground that is iron enriched. If the F19 works for me someone will be getting a like new LTD2 at a fair price.

or an F19...

I've been running my G2 (F19 - some bells & whistles) since 2011 occasionally on old sites while always running max sense and don't have much (old stuff) to show for it.
My 2 cents is the G2/F19 have great stability/id (up to 5" or so) and are perfect as jewellery finders along with clad (I'll take it). I use the same 5x10 as the F19 stock coil.

I plan to buy the F75LTD2 next spring since Fisher appears to have tamed it in a good way with some new features. The relics/old coins just might be deeper at my sites
so that I plan to give it a try....hoping for a decent enough id up to say 8-9".

I plan to keep my G2 fo'eva (found $ will pay for the F75)...cheers

Hey George,

Very curious to hear what you think. I was a big F75 fan but let it go in favor of the Gold Bug Pro due to EMI issues. My main complaint with Gold Bug Pro is lack of volume options. I have a new F75 on the way after having run a prototype and am selling the Gold Bug Pro in favor of it, but it got me to wondering about the F19 also. I do like the ability to adjust the tone break which is inexplicably lacking on the F75. The F75 on the other hand I prefer to swing because even though it is heavier the balance is superb. Best handling detector I have ever used. The F19 I would expect that even with improvements to F75 would be more EMI resistant than the new F75. The F75 does have that magic Boost process. Back and forth I go.

I do think not using Boost is not giving the full picture however, and hope you will give it a go and report there also.

Why does First Texas just not make a 19 kHz EMI resistant F75 with a tone break and Boost process? They have all the ingredients but key features spread out over two machines.

Thanks in advance and Happy Thanksgiving!

My M6 has a lot emi interference when i detect in my own neighborhood. So far i have not noticed an problems with the f19.

I will Steve. Hope to have the F19 on Saturday. Congrats on your retirement.

I can let you know but I will send you a private message.

Hey, if we're in the wishing mode, how about a Fisher multi frequency machine in the f75 package with selectable low, medium, high or combination of any1, 2 or 3 frequency? Then for salt beach fans there would be a new kid on the block to knock minelab off the top spot. Then take the same detector and put in the bomb proof CZ housing and we could all sell our hoard of 15-20 detectors and have 2. If we still have the addiction, buy 2 of each for backup, LOL.
