I have this road trip I like to take when I can get an early start and it's not too hot out. Along the 120 mile "big circle" there are 7 K-12 schools that all date to the 1930s. It is not easy to hit more than 3 or 4 in one day and since I was up early today I went for it. I hit 3 of the schools. 2.5 hours, 1.5 hours, 1 hour. Five hours total and I am worn out. I managed 218 coins for $23.39, 7 Wheats, a bunch of Canadian coins including a Loonie, some junk jewelry, and last but not least a nice chunky 925 bracelet, pictured. My last 3 silver jewelry finds have been chains. That is a bit odd, I think. I am surprised no silver coins came with all the modern coins. I was hoping for 240 coins or 2 coins per mile driven. There was a kid shooting off model rockets at the last site and I spent a lot of time watching him until he lost it in a tree.
Traffic was horrendous and it was very slow going on the way home. I guess I should have expected that it being Labor Day Weekend and all.
I have my finds all stacked up on my desk and I will post a photo of all my weekend loot either tomorrow or Monday. The way I feel right now I only have one short hunt left in me until next Saturday.
