After reading somewhere the govt might change the metal composition of cents, and 5c coins. So tested a non dug and pristine 1943 steel cent on the ATP. VDI came out 21-22 (in the iron range), don't know what a dug one registers, enlighten me if anyone has dug one(where it registers).
 
Yeah,, they are going to a fibre like plastic for all coins. The way the ecconomy is going, scap iron will be worth more real money is pretty soon anyway...

I can just see it now... Today's dig - A Lug Nut or a Can Lid
 
Read an article yesterday stating that silver should be skyrocketing in the near future because there is a shortage and that the US has none in reserves. I really think they should remove the penny even though it's so iconic, there's just not much of a need for it today. I know that would make all the copper penny hoarders happy.
