Got horse shoe knowledge ?

I was wondering the age and style of horse , mule shoes. Is there a away of telling what a certain shoe was used for or how to date? These were found on a 1800's home site.

The shoe with the cleat and downturned ends suggest that it was used on a draft horse for pulling or plowing. The shoes with the groove running with the nail holes indicates a fairly modern style. The shoe that does not have the groove indicates that it was hand made on a forge. good luck.
