Got my Bluetooth wireless gear.

The mailman finally brought the Rx/Tx Bluetooth unit today, and I was able to mount it to the LRP. The headphones came Saturday. Mounted it with hook-n-loop so is can still access the battery compartment. It’s temporarily plugged into the LRP with the 1/4"x3.5mm adapter from my good stereo headphones. Works like a charm! The other plug adapter should be here on Wednesday.

Now to see how long the batteries REALLY last. All the reviews say the battery life is exaggerated for the headset and the Bluetooth transmitter, so time will tell. I’m just glad to go 'silent' when I’m around people. As all of you know, when they hear the tones, they’re like Pavlov's dogs, and come running.

Silent or not, when they see you put down the detector and start digging, they'll still come running.

"You got something?"

"Did you find anything?"

"Whatcha got there?"

"I lost something here yesterday, whatever you find, that was it"

Funny...Ohio Fred was doing that to me last night whenever I stopped and spent time listening to a signal! LMAO!

Usually the transmitter/receiver lasts about three to four hours. My bluetooth headphone lasts about 5 hours. Bluetooth Earbud will give you about 3 to 3 1/2 hours of play

I have been putting my headphones and RX/TX after about every third hunt. Most hunts last 2-3 hours, and I’ve not had any disconnecting.
