Gotta' make this post short and sweet this evening because I need to hit the gym.
Brad, Dave and I hit the field site one more time this afternoon for about 3 hours. They will be planting it in the next couple of days so we have been scrambling to squeeze another hunt or two in before they do so.
The first thing I dug was the buffalo nickel...so I was on the scoreboard.

After an hour or so longer, I dug a V-Nickle....my third or fourth from this site. It was toast...so no need to show a solo pic of it
Finally after about 2 hours and 30 minutes I got the sweet silver warble from down deep.
I dug a deep plug and plucked out a clod with this critter stuck to it
....

Wasn't sure what it was but of course was hoping for a seated. As I began to uncover it we saw the head of a lady come into view.

My buddy Hercules helped dig the hole as always...seriously

For some reason he started eating some of the dirt from the hole
Never did figure out why...but he was happy...so be it.
Ended the hot 3 hour hunt day with the buffalo....V-nickle...and gorgeous 1901 Barber dime.

This lady has full rim...full liberty...and full reeded edge

We could see the beautiful reeded edge even when it was encased in the clod and still covered with dirt.
Thanks for viewing and good luck on your next hunt.
