We had a couple of weeks away in the Southern New South Wales bush, detected a couple
of old river swimming holes ( waaay tooo much campfire melted aluminium ) ~ wifey was most un-impressed!
So we headed for some ground we were told was used by people from a big yearly festival...
2 hours later; I had detected $13:79 in change, and a 925 sterling silver ring,
and my wife detected $15.00 in change, and a silver ingot...

The ring is now on my wifes finger _ permanently!

G'day Mike,
I hope you do well this summer.
As far as being at a loss as to where to go, check out your local library and look at the section that has books on the history of old towns...
Look at the index at the back of the books, and look for mentions such as visiting circus's, picnic grounds, swimming holes, racetracks, football fields etc.
You'll be surprised at what's out there mate!
~ Do you live anywhere near Mick?

Hello Gentlemen, Here on the Central Coast beach season starts with the October school holidays, then it dies down until the end of the high school certificate exams, and then we are off and running. Wish I could get out into the bush more often, some of those old sites look like they have a story to tell. I haven't seen your posts on hear since this time last year when I seen where you bought your X1 probe from. Glad to see you are operational. HH
