Got out for a bit and found 2 more keepers. 1 of them met my Lesche.

Got 2 more keepers today and 1 of them got it from my Lesche Digger. The reason for that is that when I pinpointed the target and dug it, the target was about 3 inches off and I ended up digging back into the side of the hole that far for it. The target must have been angled pretty good since I checked a couple different ways before digging. I hate when I dig down and hit an old coin and especially the one I hit today. The Indian Head had all the diamonds on the ribbon and no wear on the cheek of the face of the Indian. I guess you can't dig them all without hitting a few and below is the pic. The Indians are dated 1902 and 1907(This is the one I hit as you can tell).

Ouch... I've done that but fortunately not on anything good. Yesterday I found a Grant presidential coin. Don't know anything about it but I sure marked up the reverse.

Nice coins though!

it just happens sometimes. I find it happens a lot less with X-1 probe from Sunray. I use a brass coin probe too.

I have the X-1 Probe also and a brass probe as well. The coin was just angled akward and it was about 8" in the ground so I could really probe it with the brass probe. At least it wasn't a valuable coin, Thank God! Thanks for the reply Ocean 7.
