Got out for awhile this weekend.

Saturday I got out for awhile and got 12 Clad Quarters,4 Clad Dimes,1 Newer Nickel, and 5 Memorial Pennies. I was out for about an hour and a half. The main reason I went out was to loosen up the old arm and get ready for some serious detecting next weekend. Today I got out with a friend and I managed to find a few keepers. Here is a photo of a 1961 Roosevelt Dime and part of a toy Golf Club.[attachment 23210 dimeandgolfclub.png] And here is a photo of 2 Indian Heads dated 1889 and 1897.[attachment 23211 IndianHeads.png] Here is a photo of 12 Wheat Pennies from left to right dated 17-d,19,20,29-d,40,45-d,45-d,46-d,47-d,49-d,50-d,and 54-d.[attachment 23212 Wheats.png] Here is a photo of a Token I found also.[attachment 23213 TokenFront.png][attachment 23215 TokenBack.png] My friends finds for Saturday are 14 Clad Quarters,11 Clad Dimes, some newer Pennies,9 Wheat Pennies,2 Mercury Dimes, and 1 1942 Washington Quarter. Today he found 15 Clad Quarters,5 Clad Dimes, some newer Pennies,1 Newer Dog Tag,St. Christopher Medal,15 Wheat Pennies,1 Silver Roosevelt Dime,1 Mercury Dime,3 Indian Heads,a token from a bank in Fargo,ND,and an 1893-O Barber Dime in Good Condition.

Nice finds there James...as always. Using the Joey??? Is all the snow melted down in your neck of the woods already??

Nice assortment of stuff... If you're just "warming up" for some "serious" detecting, I can't wait to see your future finds :)

Thanks Joe G. I just hope I can come close this year of topping my finds for 2004. 1,342 Keepers (including silver), Silver total was 285 pieces. Hope to post more coming soon.

Hello Mj-Air23. Thanks for your compliment and yes the snow is already melted and the ground is diggable also. I wasn't using the Joey Coil this time, I was using the stock coil. I would have though due to all the trash in the ground but I didn't bring it with and I was only out for a couple hours on Sunday. Good Luck this year with your finds and hope to see you posting soon.

Thanks Eddie. I am hoping to post some more finds soon and hope you do well at your site on thursday up until you leave.

Thanks for the comment and yes, you are right about the golf club. I thought it was kind of neat looking since I have never seen one like it before. Thanks again and hope you do well at your site.

James-

Nice finds, especially the Alberta token. I don't know much about Canadian tokens, nor do I have many references on them, but that one is really neat since it is good for a box of safety matches. I collect tokens that are good for odd things and that's the first time I ran across one good for matches. You may want to try Google to get information on the hotel that issued the token. Keep up the good work and HH,

TokenTerry

Thanks for the advice and I will give it a try and see if I come up with anything.
