Got out Sunday for some torture

Went out Sunday with the new SE and dig in some frozen ground found a 1930 wheatie and this 1906 Indian head in pretty bad shape. ended up with a good sized bruise on my Palm. (from the digging) LOL But a good day over all I am just in aw at the amount of older coins and deeper coins i am finding with the SE as compared to the X-Terra's I was using. a coin at 9 or 10 inches rings loud and clear. This is truly a great machine.

Digging in frozen ground with a hand digger takes some tenacity as demonstrated by your bruised hand. I have done it myself but it's usually a narrow window before it freezes down too far and becomes impossible without the aid of a mattocks or shovel. Looks like it paid off for you though what with the Indian head cent. Nice job. Glad to hear you're enjoying the SE.

I'll say. I'll take a stab at it and say you got the "fever" :detecting: I can't imagine anyone getting a new SE and knowing their reputation and then saying that's it the season's done. I'll try it in 4 months or so.
