I was really shooting for a ring this weekend, a gold or silver one that is. Went to another school place I go to a lot, seems you have to do that to really get the 'feel" for a spot huh? Didn't expect a whole lot of coins 'cept the pennys I left behind previously, and maybe a few fresh drops. I hit a monstrous tight coin spill, dimes, Q's and pennys, very wide and unstable signal, about the size of a dinner plate, and probably 1/3rd the coins in the picture. That was fun to pick apart! I woulda passed on that a few months ago as junk. This ring is copper with enamel, a pretty ring but not what I was after. Though I am happy I dug it, since it was a penny signal just a little different sounding, and right where I expected one to be, so that was reassuring. I've been waving my wedding ring over the coil and pushing PP several times during each hunt, especially when I come across a lone pulltab, just to see if my brain will be able to distinguish the difference sometime in the future, and I wont have to dig so many of them...Since I was at a school, I was keying on the pulltabs, and pennys, Pulltabs are girls class rings, (or mens wedding bands) and pennys are the boys. nickles down to the lower 20's in the foil range could be wimmins little gold rings, or medalions even. maybe this afternoon I'll hit it a little more..., yes, by cracky, I believe I will!.
