I got the f75 on the up grade. I went to a school that I have hunted before. I was using the 10 in. Coil. Got 3.24 in clad. Looks like it is working ok. The deepest coin was about 7 in..

Be sure and try that new FA processor, that is the best thing since sliced bread.

I did try the F A processor and looks good to me. I did have a little trouble in the electric lines in one spot. I tried the P F mode and turned sen. down to 27 and it steal was bad. But the spot I tried all the detector have trouble.

John,

I think your machine came back for upgrade set for 9.1, you may want to try and boot it up in 9.0. I tinkered around with both when mine came back and I settled on 9.0 works best for me. One is supposed to DST on and the other is DST on, but nobody knows or agrees which is what. I think the manual is wrong, but I guess it really doesn't matter, just use the one you like the best.

Thanks I'll try it.

Ron I checked mine and it was on 90. So I called Fisher and they said that 90 Is DST on and 91 is off.?

Well that matches the manual, a lot of owners think the manual is wrong. Not really a big deal, next time you get into an area that makes the machine a little unstable just change to 91 and see if things get better if not go back to 90.

I air tested my machine in both 90 & 91 and they test about the same depth.

Just another tool in the box,

If you know somebody else in your area that has a 75 you may want to get them to go to the trouble area and see if they are having the same problem. You could have a problem and need to send it back. Hope not but I had to send mine back to get the back light hooked back up, nothing really bad but was without my detector for a couple more weeks.

Better to know now, than right in the middle of up coming hunting season.

99.9 % of the time my 75 runs smooth, both in 90 and 91. One spot, though, emi is really bad (much worse with previous 75's and other detectors) and neither number or frequency shifting will completely quiet it down. Dropping the sen down to around 60 and kicking the disc up to about 15 does pretty much eliminate the emi, though. HH jim tn
