Was just notified that you cannot get some parts for the 4900=5900=6000 whites detectors u cannot get a power switch or a mode switch for them no more,,guess obsolete . shortribs (swmo)

This has been for awhile. If they have the part they will repair until they run out of the parts.
 
That switch was 30 years old and was discontinued by the manufacture. It was never made in China. I know my 1985 series 3 has it. That's a long lifespan. By the way that detector still works.
 
I just picked up a closet queen 6000 XL-PRO. It was only used a couple times and put in the closet with the batterys removed so I hope I got a lot of life yet in those switches.
