Got tired of high priced fill ups.................

full tank on this one costs $29.00 (at $3.60/gal). We've had it about a year. That 8 gal fill-up will give us 440 mi. of driving.

I'm not a tree-hugger, or anything like that. Just always been intrigued with hybrids. When I drove one I was sold. Liked it so well we got a second one.

The Prius is still made in Japan. I would much prefer to buy American but there isn't a U.S. car that comes anywhere near it in comfort, performance, and value.

I normally put it in like this.........

It'll also lay on the floor behind the front seats.

For some reason most people think the Prius is small. It's actually considered a mid-size car these days. Wet curb weight is 3,100 lb. Seat 4 adults very comfortably. Not too bad for 5. (It has more rear leg room than my Town Car that this one replaced.) Between electric motors and gas engine a total of 190 hp. Top speed of 115mph. Will cruise all day at 70 and get about 50mpg at that speed. Not everybody's cup of tea but we love them. Course we still have our Astro van for hauling stuff. Don't use it much these days though.
