Went detecting at the little resort where I was always welcome to hunt - got my first silver dime (1946) this year. Got a few other things as well. Nothing exciting.
Our community churches have been praying for the 'removal of places in our local communities that have been dens of pot (marijuana) and other drugs'. We have at least one major pot domain shut down....the place I found the silver dime. Won't be detecting there any more.
I turned in a few gold rings and a silver heart shaped necklace piece, Got $115 which, because the wife;s birthday was soon approaching, I made a birthday card and put it all in the card for her. Couldn't wait until her birthday to give it to her so when I got home from detecting I gave it to her. She was SO overjoyed.
She loved the card I made and was surprised I gave her all the money from turning in the rings and necklace piece, She then asked if I had gotten her text message. I had not. Seems somehow our bank account was overdrawn - and a fee was charged. She didn't know where we would get the money to balance the books. She gave me part of the money I had given to her and said God has provided again and to go to the bank and balance the books there.
GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME.
After payday she was reimbursed so she had her birthday money back. She has wanted to get an amplifier for her professional keyboard (for music) and the last time we looked there was an amp for sale on Amazon for over $80 dollars. It was now just over 60. She was able to order that and a tortia (?] maker which she has wanted for a long time, plus another item she had wanted. Total cost for the amp and other things - with shipping was only 5 dollars more than the original $80. Thank you Father and thank you Jesus and thank you Holy Spirit. Saturday her 'birthday gifts' will arrive and then she not only will be able to get more use out of the professional keyboard - which she uses all her keyboards for praise and worship - but I will be able to also connect my Suzuki Q-Chord to the amp as well and play music with Sherry. (Something we have longed to do and have only been able to do once).
We celebrated her birthday for the whole weekend and she said it was the BEST she had ever had.
God has also blessed her with a new laptop - originally over $500 and she got it 2nd hand for less than half. She also is blessed to have a flat screen monitor ($10) instead of the huge monstrousity she had before. The living room has been rearranged and we have LOTS of room now and have the music studio set up in there too. Just so many ways God has blessed her - and me too...you see after getting the cataracts removed I have 20/25 vision in the left eye and 20/40 in the right and my new glasses will be arriving soon. Who could not help but feel loved by a Father who so richly blesses his children. Praise and glory to God in the name of Jesus and THANK YOU !!! most wonderful Father. Amen
