Got X-50 yesterday

pescadore

Well-known member
Went to my brother's lot where I have been hunting and this was my first target today when I arrived. It is a 1927 Wheat Penny and I am still looking for that first silver from the lot. I have found 4 wheaties so far but the silver is eluding me. Got to be some somewhere but the biggest part of the lot is hard to hunt due to the old house burning down and it is littered with junk and molten metal. Supposed to rain tomorrow and get more snow on Tuesday so I may not get out again for a while. Oh well, at least I had a couple of days with the new detector before the bad weather is forecast.

u got a good machine, go slow, overlap them swings, and investigate every iffy deep signal you get. When I am at an old homestead, I try to dig anything above iron that is more than 5-6 inches with my xterra. You cannot rely on the numbers on screen on deep targets, pay more attention to sounds. Are you hunting in multi tone?

I really liked my 50 and then got a 70 . They are both real good machines . You will be finding alot more coins , hope you have a good digger.

Go slow and you will hear those goodies between the badies!

Nice old wheatie, pescadore, and keep going :detecting: when weather allows you to do so, and you will learn and become familiar with your particular detector and will be finding more targets....possibly even silver and gold.....takes time and patience.....just go slow and swing low! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

You are trading the X3 for another Xterra?
Pescadore, means fisherman, yes? Of men or for sport?

Jeff

I wanted to trade the X-3 for a X-70 if I could. I would like the multiple tones and the auto ground and tracking. I will probably just keep it if I can't get what I want. It is a great detector and is so light and easy to carry around. Pescadore stands for fisher of men. It is a term that we use in a men's retreat weekend that I have attended. The weekend is called Tres Dias and is the same format as Walk to Emmaus although it is non-denominational and teaches no doctrine. I have been involved in and worked around 10 weekends and it is a real blessing to serve and watch God at work.
