:yikes:Sometimes water that cold can be warm. Several years ago I was on a volunteer fire dept. We got a call about 8:00pm or there abouts to assist another dept. The temp was down in the teens and there was a still wind blowin. The assist was for a two story farm house. I was suppose to take photos for our dept, but the camera got my fingers so cold I couldn't push the shutter button sometimes. I got some pics then they asked me to keep an eye on the portable pumps that was set up on the edge of a pond. Our department had two, another department had two. I was supposed to not let them run out of gas. Has to put gas in while they were running. While I was standing near the top of the pond, (there was a ditch about three feet below) my feet got really cold. (Bright idea time) I broke the ice on the water in the ditch and stood in the water. Yes1 It kept my feet warmer than they were up top. Did I mention the wind chill was -50 that night. When we broke the hoses down to go back to station, we had to hold the connections near the exhaust pipes to get them unfrozen. I can see I'm boring you, so I'll quit. Sleep tight. Good night.
