GQ SS V2 and UniProbe Headphones on the way

colt

New member
I have a killer combo on the way and I am just like a kid a Christmas time. I hope by this weekend I will have a nice condition GQ SS V2 with a 11" DD coil and a nice pair of UniProbe headphones. The weather in the AZ desert is cool, darn near cold and I am in the mood to hunt gold nuggets.

I have never used a GQ V2, but have been reading about them for years, I have found a lot of tips on settings for the AZ desert here on the forum, looks like I will not be alone using a GQ V2 for nugget hunting. Anybody have any experience using the Uniprobe headphones with the GQ V2, they are both designed by Eric Foster, so should make a dynamic duo. Any tips on settings would be appreciated, I hope to be posting pic's of nuggets real soon.

Hi Colt,

I know one thing for sure, and that is that the Uniprobe Headphone is the best pinpointer I've ever used by a huge margin. The headphones themselves are great, and the pinpointer itself blows away anything else I've used. You've got a great combo for sure.

Hi Steve

Thanks for the response, I have enjoyed reading your post over the years on nugget hunting, man I think you have tried about everything known to man looking for gold. How does the uniprobe do on detecting nuggets, one of the reasons I got one, is to probe cracks in hard to get to areas along the bed rock formations.
