GQSS V2 First Beach Trip "Arrowheads"

Hi Gang

I just got back from spending 4 days at Calif beach, we started at Ventura and worked our way north. I did manage to slip away a couple of times for a few hours of metal detecting with my GQ V2 for some beach hunting, sorry to say I did not find any gold. I was digging 12 to 16" for change and one old token about 15", I was very impressed with how smooth my GQ performed in the salt water wet sand area.

On the day we were around the Pismo Beach area, the weather was bad so we went inland to find something to do. While driving around we ran accross a community yard sale and thought what the heck, you never know what you will find. I bought a shoe box that is half full of indian arrowheads and other stone made looking items. I have no idea what the value of this kind of stuff is, anybody know of a good web-site that will help id stone made arrowheads and tools.

This is one web site I have enjoyed and I have looked on-line to those closer to my area and learned a little bit , I am slowly getting back in to TH'ing after a few years of not hunting , started back just out of High school in the late 70's ...Paid my way for the most part all over Eastern Canada during summer vacations hunting the beaches Missisquaur (sp?) Bay on the Canadian side and a lot of gold memories. Going back to my local haunts with a new PI here on the south shore of New England and the Cape ....

Good Hunting All !
