Personally I would do as Odanscoils suggested the new Vortex will be available early next month and the price is less than the AT Gold not sure about price on the AT Pro the price of the Vortex is going to be $599
I have already put my name on a dealers list Richard at Backwoods Detectors great dealer he told me he has placed an order for 4 of the VX9s which is the top of the line Vortex the cost of the VX9 is $599 and he told me they should be to him in the next two weeks
just looked at the price of the AT Pro and it is a little bit cheaper in price than the Vortex VX9 the ATP is $582 at KellyCo
Full disclosure I’m not a Garett fan but I don’t think there’s any question that the ATs are WAY over priced. I’m amazed people are still buying them for more than double what they should be priced at.

I got my ATP when the ATP first came out 2009 or 2010 and it was over $500 back then, and I was never impressed with the ATP at all one of if not the most over rated detectors to have ever been produced in my opinion, it was also the most uncomfortable detectors I ever swung
