Great day with the Outlaw!

Detecting my neighbor's yard and I found a couple wheats, one indian head (my first), and a 1774 Halfpenny! I am shocked.

That is great! How deep were they?

Whoa that's something special. I wished I could find a half penny. It's on my wish list.:detecting:

Neat old coin, back then a penny had some buying power, way to go.

The halfpenny was about 6 inches deep tilted at a 45 degree angle. The Indian head penny was about 5 inches or so. Tons of cut nails in the ground. The yard has an old foundation in it that was said to be an old stagecoach stop. The area dates back to the 1840s.

Get the outlaw in a good spot and it will perform , in my videos i had a crapy spot , nice finds

Nice finds! My Outlaw is on the way. Seeing your comment about the "Tons of cut nails" is encouraging since one old site I hunt fits this description perfectly.

One of the plugs I pulled a wheat cent out along with 4 or 5 nails. I am very impressed.

I don't want to brag, BUT I found 2 half pennies last year. The problem is, they were half pennies because a lawn mower made them that way!
