39 degrees at start time! Sand tick ( Pete ), Mike from Chicago, Jerry from South Haven and I planned a hunt at a local park. Another guy that I took there last week showed up also. Pretty sure Pete found a "V" nickel, but waiting for a report after he get's it cleaned. Chicago Mike got a couple bucks in change, Jerry also got a bunch of clad and a wheat. Larry went into the woods and pulled a barber dime, he also got a "V" nickel, two wheats, and later a silver rosie. Took a while to get my first coin but it was a 48 silver rosie. Later I got two wheats, two buffalo nickels ( 1934 & 1915 ), and then a 45 merc. Near the end I got a neat ornate lip stick tube. While I was heading over to tell the guys I was done, I got a very shallow nickel tone. Pushed my digger in and pried up and out pops this beautiful 10K gold ring with a blue topaz and two diamonds. That sure is a nice nickel! Last target of the day! Great day with great company!
