Great Saturday

This is my first post in a long time. . .I just don't seem to take the time to post my finds anymore - I still get out and hunt though, usually with Golddigger.

I was out this weekend with him and Big Mike and another buddy of ours at good ol' hunted-out Forest Park on Saturday. I got a great, sweet signal and out popped this seated quarter at about six inches! It's only my third seated quarter in 6 years of hunting with an Explorer. It was great to pull it out of the ground, lemme tell you!

I can't seem to get excited about posting mercs and indians and barbers, even though I still love finding them. . .I don't seem to post anymore no matter what I find, even seated dimes. But this was something that really got me going. I'm still carrying it around in my pocket in a mylar flip so I can look at it every so often. You other coin addicts might understand that - if not, then I can't explain it, it's just the way it is. lol.

There are lots of other great finds on here too! Gotta love those Minelab machines. Congratulations to everyone on their great finds, and keep 'em coming! I'll have to get on here more and see what everyone's diggin' up. . .

my half dime right here in front of me sitting on my computer...in a nice little holder. I haven't ever found a seated quarter...but it's on my list! Great find buddy!

I dug up that 1841 half dime in Forest Park and dropped it in your hand...ha ha. You guys are welcome here anytime! Hopefully I can head your way in the next few weeks. If not...I'll see you at the club get together before your seminar/hunt.

Those are too fun to dig out of the ground and not want to look at when ever you need some encouragement when hunting. Looks to be in nice shape as well and hope you swing your coil over another real soon. Good Luck and HH.:detecting:

Yeah, I thought it was gonna be a merc. I found another near there recently, the day after you guys all found seated. . .

I was really afraid I had scraped it though - when I looked at it, part of it was shinier than the rest, and I thought I had scraped it with my digger. It sucks going blind. . .
