I use to live in Columbia, SC. Loved the snow, but couldn't get out to metal detect. I live in North Texas now, thirty miles south of Oklahoma. 73 degrees today and suppose to be 81 tomorrow. I'll try to send some your way.

hey rose, nice place! it snowed purty good in rockingham when i lived down that way in 2001 - 2002. it paralyzed the whole area! being from northern virginia, it didn't paralyze me or the kids.... we loaded up in the car and went everywhere we wanted to, even doing doughnuts in several parking lots about town! man, what a great time we had. hh!

I have a solid 3' stuck on the ground in Northern WI with temps that have been well below zero for the past 2 weeks. Yesterday I awoke to -24. I have at least 3 monthes befor I can detect. Please send you weather here. I implore you. James

We have 7 foot high snow banks here in Syracuse, NY, and got about 1.5 feet of snow yesterday and last night...YUK!!!!

HH,

Back in 1965 when I was stationed at Ft. Campbell, Ky, there was a snowfall of about a quarter inch. Can you believe it shut the army down? I couldn't believe it. Wonder what they would do with a snow like you guys got up north.

Had 16th of an inch of ice here in north Texas for one day and just over 80 car wrecks ! Ice was gone the next day. Texans can't drive in ice it seems. I grew up in Tennessee and South Carolina. I learned how to drive in ice and snow real quick!!!
