Hi All : Went yesterday to Nephew's farm and did some digging and had a shock or two since the place has been added onto so many times, per him and his wife the abstract stated the property was deeded to a Civil war soldier for his service to the Union with valor. They said he built the original house and it was added to many times since 1870,the yard redone several times over. So I talked with nephew for a bit and started detecting, first coin up 1856 o seated at 9" that got me fired up so to speak. found many wheats (22) which included two 1909's but no s or vdb. Then a broken signal which seemed to be iron but would read as a penny so it was dug. 1867 2 center which is in the freezer now hoping to remove more crud. Here is a couple pics and a bust pinback which I need help ID on who? Take care
