Found this pair of green and purple rocks in a load of landscaping rock in southern Virginia. My mom found a couple matching these ones' appearance there as well. They don't look very crystal-y, but they do have some small white areas present as well that I'm assuming are quartz. Most of the purple areas appear to be outlined by a thin white band. The smaller rock is especially interesting, the photos don't capture it very well but it has a series of small, droplet-like bumps made of whatever the green part of the rock is; these are a different texture from the rest of the rock. Wondering if they could be catoctin greenstone?
