GREEN EXCALIBUR?

I occasionally beach hunt. One of my friends found out I did and that got us talking. To make a long story shot, he also has the passion and wanted the best machine. I told him a minelab and an excalibur would be great for hunting in extreme conditions. I gave him some fliers and told him to make sure he talked to me before purchasing anything.
He goes into the pawn shop inquiring on detectors. The fella showed him his stock. After alot of questions, the clerk told him about a back room deal.
They go to the back room and he has what he calls navy seal minelab detectors. They were made for the special ops, only a certain amount made and triples the performance of a regular excalibur.
Anyway, he walks out $1800 poorer. I've looked at the detector, it looks like an excalibur. It's green and also looks like somebody pulled behind a pick up on a rock road. It's really been abused.
What does he have?

Regardless, these are 10 yr old units, and I've seen em sell for $ 500 vs the $ 1800 your buddy got hokked with

It is new in the box. They are a military green. I can post a picture later if there is interest in seeing it.

It was made special for cermic mines in water areas. they had an over run of units. I was lucky too have had 2 units. I can't disclose where the other unit went, but 1800.00 is a good price. Compared to where, and what the other unit went for. There are 7 others in the US I think.
