Howdy my good people!

Just figured I would introduce myself as a future Safari owner.
I've been frequenting this forum as an unregistered guest for a good many months now, but it's finally official!!!

My order has been placed, although I've come to learn that it's back-ordered. So since I've not a clue when my machine will get here, I guess I'll keep reading and learning.

It's been a real pleasure viewing your finds, questions and answers. Keep em coming, my friends!

Until next time, all the best to you!

Thanks for reading,

0z

Welcome future hunter.i also read this forum long before I had my Safari. This site has helped me more than i can say.All the finds I've seen here have made my choice of detectors a lot easier.Be patient with your new Safari. It will test your patients. But after you see all your finds,It will make you a believer. There are many people on this site with many years experience to help you.Good luck

Welcome and best of luck! What part of the country are you in? Find your local club and give them a try as well. Like Dave said, lots of good people here who will answer any questions you may have. Looking forward to your finds. Don't forget to post the numbers and depths so we can all learn.

Welcome in. There is a lot of good information and good company here. So sit back and learn, share, and enjoy.

Many thanks for the replies, my friends!

I'm in the Chicago area, for those of you who might be nearby.
As for questions and comments, I've too many to post!
Most have already been answered, some I'm sure will be answered upon receiving and testing my machine, and all else I suppose I'll have to post here! Heh

Two of my greatest interests when reading a post about finds Are the numbers and the depth!
I simply cannot get enough of them. But again, I'll have to wait and see for myself, eh? Of course I'll note and post all the details when the time comes, for everyones convenience!

I'm hoping that with the safari, I can get the extra 2-3 inches (over my fisher f4) to hit the good stuff.
I understand that silvers sink deeper than coppers with time, which explains all the wheats and very few silvers! Of course most of the parks around here have been pounded..... BUT.. I've noticed that the majority of those I see hunting in my neighborhood are using 15+ year old machines. I'm sure they've retrieved much of what's near the surface, but perhaps this sexy new safari will go deeper than not only their detectors... But my own little fisher too!

Thanks again, my good people.

Make sure after you buy the safari to buy a good long shovel, you can leave the little trowel at home unless a buddy comes along and you let him use the old fisher.. he can borrow the trowel too.

Thanks for the warm welcome, my good folk!

Luckily I have a relatively slow sweep speed to begin with, so hopefully I won't have to adjust it too much!
As for a good shovel, I've invested in a junior sized one. It's about half the size of a full length digging shovel.

I'm super pent up though! It's been two weeks and I'm still waiting on the back order :(

Welcome ozone!
