Ground balancing the Deus Lite

mossy99

New member
Hi all,
Do alot of beach work on different beaches and tend to stick on factory 7 programme when on the wet sand. Only got the Lite [ no control box ] and often think that I"m not getting the best out of the deus. Hope someone can direct me to the way to ground balance---or do I have to stick to the factory settings---concerned about dropping g/b from 27 and start losing depth. Other than this---love the Deus on pasture etc. Thanks from Mike.:clapping:

I have never used Deus on beach.

But I can say,,,if a person using Desu lite package,,,,using on regular soil,,,if a person is bobbing their coil,,and adjusting GB manually using headphone module until the detector is quiet upon coil being lowered to ground--- this is not a correct ground balance.

If a person lowered coil to the ground,,what they want to hear is some feedback as the coil approached the ground,,then they have a more near correct ground balance.

I have compared using just remote and comparing to a pumping as well as a tracking ground balance.

And this is how I know what I do concerning this topic.

Even Deus users who have remote,,should be aware of this,,,some users with remote,,may be manual py GBing their units,,and not realize what a worthy GB really is.

And GB on Deus is not overly picky for some decent performance,,,but to squeeze out peak performance,,GB becomes more critical.
