Group Buys/Killer Deals From KellyCo On Sovereigns Or Coils!

Seems they are offering a group buy special price on the AT Pro, but if you read down you'll see them mention that they are willing to do group buys on other products and all you have to do is ask. So thought I'd post this here. One of you guys who wants a Sovereign or say a SEF coil for it could contact this person with your intentions, then post on here to get enough people (five or more I think they said) together to do the group buy. I'm set as far as coils go but maybe some of you guys have been intending to buy a 12x10 or 15x12 and can lower the already good price by getting a few people together.

As a sidenote, I seem to remember reading a while back that Kellyco will waive the shipping fee for an SEF coil if you mention you saw this mentioned on Findmall, so if you don't want to get 5 or more people together then you could at least only have to fork out $169 for a 12x10 without shipping cost, which I think is $15 more.

I'm telling you guys, this 12x10 is the best coil I've ever used in the 9 to 12" size range on any machine. The 15x12 was also a great coil and killer at the beach with more depth than stock there, but for some reason the 15x12 got less depth at my high mineral land sites. The 12x10 though seems deeper than the stock 10" Tornado on land and I'm sure it will do as good at the beach.

In bad ground the 12x10 appears to be getting deeper for me than the 10" Tornado. On the beach I haven't used it enough to tell, although I re-hunted a spot with it that the 10" Tornado already had done on the beach and I was popping more targets in my grid. Read my large 12x10 Is She A Keeper? (Or whatever it's called" thread and you'll see I did some testing of the stock coil against it on land and the 12x10 was deeper with the exact same sensitivity setting. In fact, the stock coil wasn't even picking up a coin at all at a certain setting while the 12x10 did. Those tests are later on in that long thread.

So Sovereigns and the SEF coils are what you guys are looking for on a special buy? I will see what I can put together this week for you. All you have to do is PM me with your request and I will work you up a deal...

It is our policy to meet or beat any other dealers price on all products we sell with the exception of Tesoro and no one should be offering them at a lower price than we are, equal yes, lower no...

If you have a quote from another dealer, just hit me with it and I will meet or beat it. If you ask a sales person at Kellyco to price match and they tell you they can't, I want to know about it so do me a favor and PM me to let me know and I will take care of it for you.

Again, let me know what you are looking for and I will make you a deal on it...

Thanks Critter, you've almost got me talked into trading my 10 inch Tornado for the 10x12 SEF but I would like to hear from others who have an opinion on these two coils in bad ground. James

James see if you can find someone in your area that has hunted both coils for a better idea. Ive got both, and they are close in performance. The SEF offers a little more coverage and I like the coil overalll, but alot of these posts seem to be location dependent, and since your in Texas thats the posts I would be looking for.

Thanks Neil, good advice. I don't know any other Sovereign users out here, but plan to be other places in the western US and Pacific coast, maybe Mexico also, and will probably be using one of those two coils mostly at the beach. James

If I was primarily an open field or beach (not in the water) hunter then I'd opt for the 15x12 as it's coverage is awesome for gridding out areas faster. It also got deeper than stock on my high mineral beaches but for some reason wouldn't go deeper than stock on land in my medium to high mineral land sites. The 12x10 does go deeper on land for me then stock but I need to test this more. Haven't used it enough on the beach yet to say either way but for sure it's still a nice step up in coverage. The stock 10" coil just feels tiny to me now like an 8" coil so I only use that on my water rig right now and might end up using the 12x10 for my water hunting instead but need to see how much drag it gives compared to stock. The 15x12 was a bit too much drag for me in the water, but I tend to swing a little faster than most probably do when water hunting.
