GT impressions

Had the opportunity to travel to TN. this last weekend. BAD BAD ground. There were only two detectors that would work in the bad ground and the GT was one of them. Worked one recently bulldozed construction site in the city and pulled out a nice 1840 seated dime. This area had been hunted heavy before by other detects. All I can say about the machine is that it will handle the worst ground in the typical sovereign fashion. The ground tracking in all metal was great in one area that was particulary bad, with constantly changing soil. Several top of the line machines were tried and could not get any deeper than 2-3 inches. While the GT was getting over 8" easily.

Only better, one unit I will never give up and that is my original Sov. it will become the backup for my GT, wonder why all of the original modes are incorporated in the new unit?? ..They worked, and made the detector the top of the line unit it is, why it was morphed into other variations, I'll never know, however Minelab has returned full circle with great improvements to an outstanding unit..HH..Geo
